VoiceCloud, a new company headquartered in San Diego, CA, today announces the recent filing of multiple patents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the methods and system for real-time transcribing of audio and voice messages.
VoiceCloud’s proprietary technology enables the transcription and delivery of voicemail and other audio files in real-time. Compared to existing voice transcription solutions, where it can take anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes for the message to get to the user, VoiceCloud’s technology uses streaming audio and multiple concurrent connections to enable real-time transcription — even as the message is being recorded.
“We are extremely excited to be filing these patents and bringing this new technology to market,” says Gerald Marolda, CEO of VoiceCloud. “Real-time voice-to-text transcription is truly a revolution in its category . . . No time is lost in the transcription process, users have anytime, anywhere access and critical messages are never missed,” Marolda continues.
Along with real-time transcription, VoiceCloud’s turnkey solution also includes support for major U.S. carriers with both fixed and mobile networks, a specially designed interface for the iPhone and unlimited voice and transcription storage and retrieval.
VoiceCloud is currently in beta testing and, in connection with CTIA Wireless 2008 in Las Vegas, April 1-3, will be offering their new voice-to-text service free-of-charge for a trial period.
